Happy Birthday, Murphy!

Today is Murphy's 4th birthday! I can't believe he is already 4. He was just 4 months when I started baby-sitting him.

We have been friends as long as I can remember. Our parents worked together & we lived in the same neighborhood until I moved before I started high school. We are just 4 months apart, but she was one year older in school. In the end, it doesn't matter because we're still besties after all these years. She is actually coming to visit me in just a few days. Excited!

Day 1 - 

22nd bithday, I believe

1. I've never colored my hair. Au natural. 

2. I can NOT pay retail. Lie - I can, but it seriously pains me... except when it comes to make up- Hello, Sephora. Goodbye, money. 

3. I'm sadly addicted to tv, esp trashy reality shows. Ex: Anything & pretty much everything on Bravo, The Bachelor/ette, & whatever other trashy shows you can think of, I probably watch them. Unashamed. Newest obsession: Most Eligible Dallas

4. I despise cleaning in any & all forms. I blame my mom, she cleaned my room until I was probably in high school? Like the sign in my house says, "Housework makes you ugly." 

5. I was the very spoiled baby of my family for almost 24 years until this little nugget came along. I think he's pretty much the cutest. 

6. I'm obviously obsessed with sports, as if you didn't already know. Obsessed. My life revolves around sports (Thanks, Rog). 

7. I could seriously hang out with people every single night. I never want to live with roommates again, but if I have people over every night, that's fine - as long as they're going home to their own bed. 

8. I pretty much hate most vegetables. Sucks for me. Don't worry, I take my vitamins. 

9. I've always always wanted to live on the water (beach, lake, whatever) & now I finally do!!!! My dream came true. I open my blinds & look out on the lake every morning :) 

10. I'm addicted to my planner. I write everything in there & cross it off when I've done it. Sometimes, I even write stuff in there just so I can cross it off. Sick, I know.

5 days...

     I seriously have nothing to blog about, y'all. My life is uber boring at the moment. Workout, work, sleep, repeat. I definitely get to play on the weekends which is nice. I had a fun weekend with the girls! Kimsey came over for dinner Friday & we sat out by the lake until it was too dark to see. Saturday, we had an all day gab fest at the pool. Note: my cooler handle came off while walking to the pool & everything spilled out onto the sidewalk. Sweet life. Saturday night we went to BFE to "audition" a band for my friend's upcoming wedding. They were okay. 100% better than the band she had at her graduation party who couldn't even play Rocky Top. Hello, we live in east Tennessee & most of the people at the party graduated from UT. Not impressed. Then we all headed out for a bit & ran into our tailgate crew. Needless to say, it got me even more excited than I already am about Saturday :)

Someone else is excited too - hence the bib...

Sunday, Kimsey & I tried out a new Sunday school class at church. It was okay, but I think we need to go a few more times before we make our final decision. 

I made these little goodies the other night -

Chicken nuggets- mmm dipped in olive oil & bread crumbs with a little grated parm cheese & baked in the oven at 425 for 15 minutes. 

I ordered this dress today for next week's game -

How perfect is that? It will be completed with a spray tan+cowboy boots & of course some cute jewelry. 

I'm working for the weekend this week because it is a JAM packed weekend! Tailgates, football, Kendall is coming in town, Boom's Day, & the lake. I. CAN'T. WAIT. 

Things I'm Loving Right Now

1 - Just 10 days until football! I can't believe it's next weekend!! I am so excited :) Tailgating is my FAV!

2 -I seriously love my job. It is so nice to not absolutely dread going to work every single day. I'm also not completely exhausted on the weekends which is wonderful - so I can play with my friends :)

 3- Decorating my house for fall & football even though it's still 90 degrees or above most days. I've been stalking pinterest for some ideas.

4- Finally catching up on True Blood - mainly because of this man...

5- French Market candle from Tyler Candle Company

6. Hoda & Kathie Lee - now that I work from home, I watch them every morning. Hilarious!

7. 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels - I've done it before & it kicks my butt every time. Jillian knows what's up. 

8. I can't really think of anything else right now, but I'm sure there are more things I'm loving...

I would also like to wish a Happy Birthday to my new cousin, Scarlett Emery, who was born yesterday - 3 weeks early! 

LAKE!

The water is my favorite place to be especially when I'm with friends, so this weekend was perfect! We headed out early Saturday morning hoping to avoid the rain (which we did)! It was the best day with some of my best friends!! We actually had 2 boats - the party boat & the ski boat. We parked in our cove for most of the day & just chilled out. It was perfect!

Bad Blogger

I have been such a bad blogger lately! Sorry to my possibly 4 readers. I started my new job this week! It has been wonderful. I love having a job that I don't dread going to every day. Here are a few shots from the week:

 Bright & early Monday morning with 3 of my babes - Murphy starts school next Tuesday & Charlie will just be coming 2 days every week.

 This little girl loves to eat! You may not be able to tell by looking at her, but check out that sweet raspberry face.

Morning walks before it gets too hot - I'm usually drenched in sweat by the time we get back & we're back before 9am. I am ready for fall.

I ordered some new tennis shoes a couple weeks ago from RueLaLa & they FINALLY arrived. Beware if you order from them, it will take weeks before you get your order. They were over 50% off, so I guess it was worth the wait...

Heading to the lake in the morning - praying for no rain! Have a great weekend!!

Oh my goodness

I wanted to do a post tonight, but I came home to this...

When the painter began painting Monday afternoon, the house did not look like this. I'd like to give this guy the benefit of the doubt & think that he is going to come back in the morning & put all the furniture back, but I know that is very unlikely. There are so many things in rooms where they shouldn't be which is so frustrating. In the scope of life, this is a quick fix, but it just makes me so mad. He wasn't finished on time AND he didn't put the furniture back. Sorry, buddy, but you will not be working at this house again. So instead of blogging about something fun, I am moving furniture... again. Sorry to all my friends who I've already complained to about this. I love you all for putting up with me :)
