It's my birthday!

Ha - just kidding, but we did celebrate this weekend. October 7 is the real day - in case you forgot ;) 

We went to Bonefish last night to celebrate October birthdays - mine & my Aunt Bren's. My camera was on the wrong setting, so the pictures of Porter & I are blurry. Sad face. 

He is real cute & was so good! 

 Aunt Bren obviously saw my list & got me this platter + pumpkin attachment which I have been eyeing for a looong time!! THANK YOU! I love it!! 

Beth, Jonathan, & Porter gave me some lovely jewelry from Nordstrom. Oooh, so fancy! They will look great on gamedays! 

I came home from Nashville this afternoon & started decorating for fall :) exciting!

Shout Out!

I haven't been to Nashville since July & I've been "family sick", but never homesick. Nashville just isn't the place for me - at least for the foreseeable future.

Since I haven't been home, I haven't gotten to see this little nugget (or his Mom&Dad, GranBren, ChaCha, etc) -

I hear he is making an appearance at October birthday dinner on Saturday - which means I'll actually have something to blog about.

It's been an interesting week at work with Little Tiny doing some major teething - not fun for either of us!

Ooh, man

Well, as I'm sure you all know, we lost yesterday! Quite sad. I went to a party hosted by a couple that we tailgate with, so basically it was our tailgate, but at a house. It was a lot of fun even if we didn't win. 

Sidenote: just checked my twitter & was informed that Justin Hunter tore his ACL & his done for the year. I don't know whether to cry or throw up. Maybe both? 

After the game, Kimsey & I met up with some friends at Tin Roof & ate more & watched more games. Definitely fun!! 

By halftime, this gator had several knives poked in it. As it should be. 

Jessica, one of the ladies, made this cake & it was DELICIOUS! The football was chocolate & the field (as you can see) was vanilla. YUM!

Well, another week begins tomorrow & I'm going to Nashville on Friday for an early birthday celebration with my family. I haven't been home since July! Can't wait to see my boo play the Titans on Sunday :)

Finally...

So, I moved into my new house a little over 2 months ago & I still haven't really posted any pictures. My B. It was a hideous peach color when I first moved in & the paint job was so horrific. Thankfully, that is now fixed. It is a lovely light yellow that brightens up the room. I still have hardly anything on the walls because I am horrible at hanging things by myself. Anyone want to help me?! ;)

I got this from the Dooleys. Coach Dooley used it when he first moved here before they moved into my neighborhood. It fits my bed, but I am doing a shabby chic white/light pink theme in there. It goes really well in my living room because my pillows are brown & orange, so I think I'll keep it where it is. 

Don't worry though - I got some more bedding from them that is white & goes perfectly in my room! Thanks, guys (& Meghan)!

Friday, Friday, Friday...

I never thought today would get here. Yesterday was... long & included a lovely exploding diaper episode that ended with someone in the bath tub. I was also $100 off when I filled out my deposit slip at the bank today - woops. Don't worry, Mom, I fixed it. B & I went grocery shopping this afternoon - straight mom style - everyone always tells me how cute she is. Thank you!

Florida Week

It's a big week here on Rocky Top - Florida week! Lately, this has been more of a one-sided rivalry. Unfortunately, not in our favor. I hope we can turn it around, but I am a realist... 

This past weekend was SO MUCH FUN! I had a girl's night with Kimsey on Friday complete with pizza and our favorite drinks :) Saturday morning we were up bright & early to tailgate since we had a 3:30 game. I thought it would be a good idea to wear cute wedges to the game - probably the biggest mistake of my life. Holy blisters. Our tailgate local is on frat row, so for some reason I thought I was 18 again & went with my good friend to his old frat house - I quickly realized how old I am, so many babies. 

Anyway, it was a gorgeous day & we played an amazing game. Had such a great time after the game & into the wee hours of the morning with some of my sweetest friends - reliving my college days! #lovedit

It's been a crazy busy week & it's only Tuesday. I had 3 babies today & when the older ones wake up the younger one goes down & vice versa. I work the latest on Tuesday & I have Bible study directly after. It makes for a long day, but I really love this Bible study. We are currently studying Beth Moore's "David" - I am the youngest girl in the class & I hope to learn a lot from the other women. Beth Moore is hilarious & she's coming to Knoxville next August! I hope I get to attend. 

I was so focused on the game and the throbbing blisters on my feet this weekend that I didn't take many pictures. My B, y'all.

Rain, rain go AWAY!

This weekend has been a rainy mess- not good for all of the outdoor activities we had planned. My sweet friend, Kendall, came in town on Sunday & bless her heart - it's rained the WHOLE time.

Sunday night was Boom's Day, & I'm just happy that the fireworks went on rain or shine. Our friends got there early & had the perf spot, so I was thankful for that. I don't think anyone is a fan of porta potties, but that was all we had & let me tell you - using these was probably THE nastiest thing I've ever experienced in my life. They had been used all day Saturday while people were tailgating & clearly not emptied. I'm almost gagging just thinking about it.

It rained allllll day yesterday, so what else are you supposed to do on a rainy day, but go to the movies? Kendall & I went to see "The Help" - so good. I definitely cried at least 3 times, but I was trying to hold it in because a rando lady was sitting next to me.

Oh, what a day...

Oh man, yesterday went from one extreme to another. It was 9000 degrees the entire day & I could have worn a jacket at night. The high yesterday was 95 with zero chance of rain & it POURED as soon as we got in the stadium. We sat in our seats & then we were told to seek shelter. Not happy. 

We met in August of our freshman year (2006) & we're still going strong 5 years later.

Tell me that dress isn't perfect?!
