Life On Rocky Top: I got Shellac'd

So, I have pretty much gotten my nails done every 2-3 weeks for the past 6 years. Ahh, so much money when you add that up - don't want to think about it. Anyway, my nails ~~are~~ were paper thin, so I decided to give them a break in April. I haven't had acrylics or gel axxium since April - that's a big deal for this girl. I've also developed nail polish ADD & I change my polish 2-3 times a week now.

I've been wanting to try the Shellac manicure for awhile now, but I wasn't sure it would be worth it. After reading a few blogs & talking to some friends who've done it, I decided I'd give it a try. I actually found a really cheap rate at a salon in Knoxville. I went this afternoon & the lady was so nice, a little too much for me, but she did a good job. I really prefer to go to people who don't speak English, so I don't have to talk to them. This was the complete opposite of the experience I prefer.

I love the finished product though- the best part is they are DRY when you walk out the door, so you don't have to worry about messing them up getting your keys out of your purse or knocking them on the door handle.
