This post is mostly for me to document my weekly workouts, so you definitely don't have to read it :) This was week 6 of training.
Sunday: REST
Monday: 3.5 mile run outside - 35:58. It was pretty cold, low to mid 30s. I wore my full length running tights, UA base layer & a LS tee. I forgot to wear gloves, but my hands were fine until I finished my run & was cooling down. They then felt like ICE. I won't forget my gloves again, I will tell you that. I walked 1.5 miles which I count into my total because walking is training, right? Total: 5 miles
Tuesday: Went to the gym before work & did 45 minutes of spin. I tried to take it easy, but I wanted to get a good workout. I was definitely sweating - mostly steady climbs & speed work with recovery.
Wednesday: 3.5 mile run outside - 35:30. It was veryyy cold, like 22 degrees cold. I definitely remembered my gloves. I wore full length tights, base layer shirt, LS tee, & a pull over. I had to take my gloves off half way through. I walked 1.5 & almost busted it on some ice. Cute. Total: 5 miles
Thursday: REST
Friday: Went to the gym after I worked a half day with my beebees (pics to come) & did stairs for 40 minutes. I took it pretty easy because I wanted to have fresh legs for my long run. I was definitely sweating, but not pushing it.
Saturday: 5 mile run outside - 55 minutes. I did not want to run this morning. It was gloomy & sprinkling, but I went anyway. I didn't let myself do anything first, I just woke up & went running. Plus, I wanted to be back by 11 to watch the basketball game - WHICH WE WON- buh bye Gators! My legs felt like lead & there were TONS of people running. It was not my best run. I just took it easy & ran slow. The hills made me so angry today. Total: 5.70
I will definitely be doing speed work this week in preparation for a 6-miler on Friday before I head out of town for a long weekend!
